About Life Insurance Sunnyvale: We Start With What You Already Have

We are a small life insurance agency in Sunnyvale, CA. Before we suggest anything new, we read the coverage you already carry. If it still fits, we tell you to keep it. If a change makes sense, we show you why on paper, in plain words.

Why we read your old policy before we quote

A lot of people who call us already own a policy. Maybe it came through work. Maybe a parent bought it years ago, or an agent sold it and never called back. Our first job is to find out what that policy does today: the face amount, who the beneficiary is, what the premium will do over time, and whether any riders are still useful.

Often the answer is to keep it. An older whole life policy with built-up cash value, or a term life policy with years left at a rate you could not get now, is usually worth holding. Sometimes a small change is enough, like updating a beneficiary after a marriage or adding a modest term policy on top to cover a gap.

Other times replacement does make sense. A universal life policy that is underfunded and drifting toward lapse, or coverage that ends while your kids are still in school, can cost you more by staying put. When that is the case, we lay out what you give up and what you gain, including new health questions and a fresh contestability period, so you decide with the full picture.

How we work with clients

Your current coverage gets read first

We ask you to have your policy or latest annual statement handy when you call. We go through it with you line by line before we talk about any new quote.

Replacement only with a reason you can see

Switching a policy has real costs: surrender charges, new underwriting and a new window when the insurer can contest a claim. If we suggest it, we show you the numbers side by side. If keeping what you have is cheaper over time, we say so.

Coverage sized to the need

We start from what you want covered, such as income for your family, a mortgage balance, final costs or money for retirement. Then we match a policy to it. Bigger is not better if the premium squeezes your budget.

Plain words, one agent

You talk to the same person from the first call through the application. We explain cash value, riders and beneficiary designations in everyday language, and we will answer the same question twice if you need it.

Where our clients are

Most of the people we help are in Sunnyvale or a short drive away, in Santa Clara, Mountain View, Cupertino, Los Altos, Loyola, Palo Alto and Campbell. We also help a good number of clients across the bay in Fremont, Milpitas and Newark. Nearly every conversation we have happens by phone, so distance barely matters. If you would rather meet at your place of business, we can set that up.

Many people here carry group life through an employer. That coverage usually ends when the job does, so we often help clients decide whether a personal policy should sit alongside it.

Find out what your current policy still does

Have your policy or latest statement in front of you when you call. We read through it together and give you our honest view of what it is still worth to you. You hang up knowing the next step, even if that step is to leave things as they are.
