What happens on the call

First, tell us who counts on you and what coverage you carry today, if any. If you own a policy, we read it before suggesting anything new. Often the better move is to update a beneficiary, add a rider or keep the policy just as it is. When a new policy makes more sense, we say so and explain why.

Then we go over options like term life, whole life or final expense coverage in plain words. If a quote makes sense, we explain what goes into the price and what the application will ask. Good to have ready before you call

1. Any life policy you already own, including the page that lists your coverage amount and beneficiaries.
2. Rough figures on what you want covered, like a mortgage balance, other debts or a few years of income.
3. Your date of birth and a short list of health conditions and medications.
4. Details on any coverage through your employer, so we can see what it leaves out.
